Game Sign-ups

New for 2026: MañanaCon is using a tool called Cardboard Connect to schedule and sign up for games. It’s easy to use, and it’s browser-based so you don’t have to download an app. It puts you in direct control of when your games are scheduled.

Cardboard Connect allows you to:

  • Schedule a game you want to run,
  • Find players for that game,
  • Sign up for games you want to play,
  • Communicate with the GM and other players, and more!

After you buy your ticket to the con, you’ll receive an email from Cardboard Connect inviting you to the MañanaCon event. You’ll need to accept that and set up your profile.

We will open the first wave of game sign-ups on Monday, September 21 at 10 am MT.

Please sign into Cardboard Connect before then, so you can complete your profile and try out the tool.  I particularly recommend doing this if you:

  1. Have several tickets on a single purchase, so you can separate those purchases into individual accounts, and/or if you
  2. Want to link your account to a friend or family member so that person can sign up for games at the same time as you.

What is Cardboard Connect?

It’s a tool that helps convention attendees schedule games, find players, and play more games. It’s browser-based, which means you don’t have to download an app.

How do I use it?

We will import all attendees into Cardboard Connect from Eventbrite. At that point you’ll get an email invite to the MañanaCon event from Cardboard Connect.

Note: You must be a registered attendee of MañanaCon to schedule games via Cardboard Connect. Non-attendees can browse the schedule, but cannot sign up for events.

You can check out the event, propose your own games, and sign up for games you want to play (after Monday, Sept. 21, 10 am MT).

When proposing your own games, you can limit the number of players and specify all kinds of details.

Good etiquette:

  • Book the table for only the time you think you’ll need it.
  • Book a table appropriate to your needs – avoid booking an x-large table or a table in the quiet room unless your game or players require it.
  • Make sure you consider your set-up and clean-up time when booking.

What if I have multiple tickets on one email address?

Example: I bought tickets for my partner and myself at the same time.

You can separate these into separate accounts for each attendee, but it has to be done by an admin – reach out in Discord #tech-support for more help.

What if I want to sign up for a game with a friend or family member?

You can use Cardboard Connect’s Linked Badges feature to act as your friend/family member and sign them up for the same events as you — as long as they approve that connection. Otherwise, each player will need to sign up for a seat at the game to hold a spot.

What about open gaming?!

As always, you’ll be able to set up pick-up games at the convention. Whether you’ve been planning your game for months, your game is spur-of-the-moment, or somewhere in between, you’ll have a place to play at MañanaCon.

What if there aren’t any tables available for the time I want?

NOTE: We are not releasing 100% of the tables in this first wave. We will be opening tables as we get closer to the convention, so that later registrants can still have a chance at running a game.

That said — Friday evening and Saturday are the busiest times of the con. You may find more players open and less competition if you try some of the other time slots.
