What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and other information directly relevant to the conference. This information is used for organizing the event and for our mailing list. We collect this information only when users provide that information directly when signing up for our conference or mailing list, or when using our Contact form.
We collect publicly available information from Facebook and Twitter from users of those services who interact directly with our conference’s presence on those platforms, but only such that collection of the data is necessary for the day-to-day operations of our conference. We do not collect information from users of those services who do not interact with our organization. We do not receive or collect data from other third parties for any other use.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We collect website traffic data to help us build a more effective website and convention. This data is anonymized and is not associated with names, emails, or other personal information.

When it is necessary for running the convention, we may share your personal information with the convention venue or other organizations coordinating activities at the convention. We do not share personal data with third-party marketing lists, vendors, or sponsors of the convention except when that data is necessary for coordinating activities at the convention.
How long we retain your data
For users that register for our mailing list or sign up for our convention, we store the information that they provide indefinitely.
What rights you have over your data
If you have signed up for our mailing list, or if you have attended our convention, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
How we protect your data
We store data in electronic form and hard copy, and we take all reasonable steps to keep your data safe from unauthorized access. We may store data on third-party systems that are used for managing our mailing and attendee lists. All data is stored under strict security and is accessible only to internal staff who require the data for performance of their duties.
